Thanksgiving is all about being thankful for the things we have, so making Christian Thanksgiving crafts just naturally follows with the reason for the season. Christian Thanksgiving crafts are all about making sure that we give thanks for the good things that God has given us. Reminding our families and our children about all the things we have in our lives can be best expressed through Christian Thanksgiving crafts plus, they can decorate our homes and make the holiday truly festive! Here are a couple of easy Christian Thanksgiving crafts you can try right now!
Because Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks, why not have you, your child, and every family member make a thankful tree for Christian Thanksgiving crafts? Take some construction paper and cut out leaf shapes from various colors of the paper. Write what you are thankful for and how God has blessed you. Then use the brown construction paper to make a tree trunk. Use your imagination!
Then take and paste the leaves all around the top of the tree trunk. The more leaves, the more blessed you are which makes these types of Christian Thanksgiving crafts so special! Once you have all your leaves glued in place and they are dry, write on the trunk the following phrase: “God has blessed me and I am thankful for…” Then hang your thankful trees all around the house to remind you of all you have been given by the good Lord!
When making Christian Thanksgiving crafts, you might want to stress the involvement of the Indians (Native Americans) and their role in the whole tradition. Talk with your child about what these people might have gone through as they tried to welcome new visitors to their land. Remind them that the Christian spirit is about giving and accepting of all people and the Indians were big examples of that in the first Thanksgiving.
Have them write a story about the first Thanksgiving from an Indian’s point of view. Encourage them to write the story from a Christian perspective. Even a simple picture book can be one of your great Christian Thanksgiving crafts. If your child is not able to write yet, just have them draw pictures and then narrate the story to you while you write it down. Then, on Thanksgiving Day, have your child “read” their book to your guests.
Just like any other type of crafting, making Christian Thanksgiving crafts just takes a little bit of imagination and some inspiration. After that, the rest is up to God!

At Thanksgiving time, we give thanks for the blessings that God has given us throughout the year, and you can really get your children into the spirit of the holiday by bringing out some Christian crafts for Thanksgiving for kids to make. If you use your imagination and keep in mind why we celebrate Thanksgiving, you can come up with some really cute Christian crafts for Thanksgiving for kids to make.
Have your child make a thankful wreath to celebrate the season. Start with a paper plate and cut out a half circle from the center of it. Under the horizontal cut, write the words “I Am Thankful For…” Then draw some leaf shapes on construction paper and cut them out. Have your child write down things that they are giving thanks for on this Thanksgiving Day and then glue the leaves around the plate covering it like a wreath. Hang the wreath on your door or someplace where it is clearly visible so your child remembers how blessed he or she is.
Another of the Christian crafts for Thanksgiving for kids to make that we found is a thankful turkey. It is made in much the same way as the thankful wreath. All you really need is some different colored construction paper, some white glue, and crayons or markers. Cut a circle out of brown construction paper for the turkey’s body. The head and neck is just a circle on top of a rectangle. Cut this out of either orange or a lighter brown construction paper. Make some legs and feet from yellow construction paper. The turkey feathers are just elongated ovals. Have your child draw a face on his or her turkey and then write things that they are thankful for on each of the turkey feathers. Glue it all together and then hang in the house!
To get the rest of the family and your Thanksgiving guests into the thankful spirit, make a cute centerpiece for the dinner table. You need a bowl or basket and a piece of florist’s foam. Cut out leaf shapes from construction paper and staple or glue them to craft sticks. As guests arrive, have them write something they are thankful for on the leaf and stick it into the foam. Place in the middle of the table and have each guest pick one to read while dinner is being eaten.
There are lots of Christian crafts for Thanksgiving for kids to make available on the Internet. Just do a Google search for “Christian crafts for Thanksgiving for kids to make” and you will be directed to many web sites that offer up tons of ideas.

If you are looking for some great arts and crafts ideas for Halloween, you have a whole lot of places you can go to look. Of course, the Internet is the best place to start. The World Wide Web is just brimming with tons and tons of arts and crafts ideas for Halloween. Space in this article prevents us from listing too many, but we sure can get you started with a couple of our favorite arts and crafts ideas for Halloween.
Halloween is all about scary, eerie, and fun decorations. Here is one of the great arts and crafts ideas for Halloween that we found. If you have bushes in front of your house, this decoration might just make you the talk of the neighborhood. First, take a plain white sheet. The size will depend on the size of your bushes. Fold the sheet in half and place newspaper inside the fold. Use either a black permanent magic marker or black fabric paint to make a ghost face on the front of your sheet. When it’s dry, take and place it around your bush and secure it in the back tightly with clothespins.
Another one of our arts and crafts ideas for Halloween can also make the outside of your house look very scary and very festive. Take an ordinary brown lunch bag and paint it orange. Use scissors or an X-acto knife to cut out a scary pumpkin face. Fill the bottom with about ½” of sand and submerge a tea light candle or votive candle in the bottom. Make several of these luminaries to line your walkway on trick or treat night.
For another example of arts and crafts ideas for Halloween, why not make a fun garland of pumpkins or ghosts to drape around your home? All you need is some orange construction paper (for pumpkins) or white construction paper (for ghosts). Take a pencil and free-hand draw a ghost or a pumpkin on the paper. When you draw the figure, leave a tab at the top because you will be folding the tab over the string to secure it. Take a black magic marker and draw on a scary or funny face of your figure and then cut them out of the paper. Make several of these so that you can make your garland long. Fold over the tab and place the string by the fold. You can then secure the figures with tape, glue, or staples. Use green string for a pumpkin garland and black string for a ghost garland and you are all ready to go.
There are so many arts and crafts ideas for Halloween on the Internet, but there are even more in your head if you really think about it. Use your creativity and then have fun!

It is never too early to start children with fun art projects, which is why you need to get some ideas for arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving. Even these little guys can create fun arts and crafts for the Thanksgiving holiday that can decorate both the classroom as well as your own home. Arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving projects are not as difficult as you might think because most children in kindergarten can use scissors, glue, and color. Here are a few we are fans of:
A great project for arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving is to make a Thanksgiving card for them to take home. All you need is a piece of construction paper and fold it in half. Have the child trace his or her hand on the front of the card. Let them color the thumb brown which is the turkey’s head. This is a side view, by the way. The fingers are the turkey feathers and they should be multi-colored. Have them draw on an eye and a red wattle. On the inside of the card, have this poem pre-printed and let them paste it in:
This isn’t just a Turkey
As anyone can see,
I made it with my hand
Which is part of me.
It comes with lots of love
Especially to say,
I hope that you have a very
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!
Here is a great arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving project that will take a little time to prepare but will be awfully special for the big day. Go outside and find a small twig with a few branches still on it. In an empty, clean soup can, pour in plaster of Paris and stick the twig into the center. Let dry. Have several leaves available that are cut out of construction paper. Every morning, have the child write something they are thankful for and then hang from the tree. If you start this out at the beginning of November, by Thanksgiving Day, you’ll have a great table center piece!
Get together a lot of ideas for arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving. If you are a teacher, try a few different ones each year. If you are a parent, you have new ideas from year to year. Either way, you will have some great crafts you can count on as your child grows because even though they are arts and crafts for kindergarten Thanksgiving, your child can still make them at any age, they just look better and better as time moves on!

If you are a creative type, or just want to by, look into arts and crafts Halloween decorations that you can make to get you started into the wonderful world of crafts! Arts and crafts Halloween decorations are not only fun to make, but they really can give your home a festive look on this fun holiday. You do not have to be a master artisan to make arts and crafts Halloween decorations. All you need is some imagination, creativity, and some supplies and you are ready to go! Try a few of these simple ideas:
One of our favorite and easiest arts and crafts Halloween decorations to make is creepy candles. Get some candles in dark colors or in the classic colors of Halloween – orange and black. Gather some trinkets together like sequins, beads, and even candy corn. The selection is limitless. In our local dollar store, they even have table sprinkles in the shapes of bats, ghosts, pumpkins, and witches. Now, if you use small objects like these, you should probably use tweezers. I’ve even seen people glue on the fake cobwebs which makes for a really neat look! Using simple white school glue, glue these trinkets all around the candle until you like the way it looks. Place them all around the house and enjoy the way they look!
Arts and crafts Halloween decorations can be great projects for friends and family to do together. Enjoy each other’s creativity and learn from each other as you try out new techniques or just experiment around.
Here’s another one of our arts and crafts Halloween decorations that we use in our home. I love having scary things hanging from our trees. Make a creepy balloon ghost from a simple white balloon and two plain plastic grocery bags. Cut the handles off the bags along with any writing that is on them. Leaving the bottom seam end, use scissors to shred the bag into “danglies” until you get about one inch away from the seam. Blow up the balloon and knot it. With the knot at the top, take tape and tape the seam of one bag to the front of the balloon and one to the front. I like to use black electrical or duct tape because it holds better. Draw a scary face on your ghost and attach a string to the knot of the balloon. Sometimes, I like to attach a couple of bells to the bottom of my ghosts so I can hear them haunting my yard! I make several of these and hang them all over the yard which is a lot of fun for my neighbors and friends!
Arts and crafts Halloween decorations can be easy or difficult, but there’s no doubt about it, when you make your own Halloween décor, the possibilities are limited only by your own creativity!

Hi Everyone! I’m so happy that finally I’d be able to share all my craft ideas and links to all of the crafty lovers out there. I do hope to get a lot of fun ideas from you too and for those who just love to read on the blog sites…… we might just be able to convince you to try some of the things we do. So, ……. happy reading and posting everyone!
Summer in the Philippines is really something to look forward to. The beach is a wonderful place to hang out and spend those awful hot months. In the next few weeks, I’ll be posting interesting pix of some of the projects I made for the summer. I start of with this really simple canvass bag I bought in one of the souvenir shops in Cebu. It’s actually made by a company called Island Souvenirs (which I may add, makes wonderful souvenir shirts). I just had the urge to decorate it with trinkets of sorts, beads of colorful designs and TaDa……. I got a real beach bag! Just did simple running stitches over the letters to cover it with sequined beads and it looks fantastic. For the hanging trinkets, I had some old acrylic based clam designs (in blue) and blended it with coco beads. “Coco” beads are indigent to some islands in the Philippines as they come from real coconut wood. I guess you can find it in many different sizes and shapes in craft stores. I love using this stuff for many of my accessories. I also used some shells that I got along the beach. Moving along the souvenir shops, I found some polished but natural looking wooden beads. I covered it with ordinary thread, actually, more like crochet thread and found that you can make a very unique design of beads.
Well, hope it this will give you some ideas on how to make your own beach bag. By the weekend, I’ll be able to finish up the beaded slippers to match the bag. I’m looking forward to my next rendezvous at the beach with a total crafty accent.
Here are some samples of “coco” beads in their polished and natural colors.

Notice the apple green beads? These are natural polished coco beads covered in thread.
Some of the accessories I made in the past with the use of coco beads mixed with some other media.
